(Note: in the original production the character of 'Johannes' was a Gurkha)

Kedar was born in a remote village in the east of Nepal.

He came to Australia in 1991, and studied hospitality, developing skills in cooking. He has enjoyed working as a cook for the last twelve years, in various establishments around the Mornington Peninsula.

He enjoys music, dancing, bike riding, swimming and learning new recipes.

Kedar has previously studied drama in Melbourne, but on learning that there was a drama course closer to his home, he signed up for Acting Up at the House in March this year. He has truly enjoyed his time with Sally and the cast.

Kedar has found the experience of playing “Bir Bahadur Thepa” very interesting. In Nepal, the Ghurka is highly revered and respected for their skills and attitude. He has enjoyed being able to speak to those Ghurka now living in Australia, and learning more about his own culture in the process.
