ORIGINAL WORKSHOP PERFORMANCES
'Till The Boys Come Home was originally staged as two workshop
performances under the title P.S. I Love You in 2004.
Date/s: Saturday, July 31 &
Sunday, August 1, 2004
Venue: Mt Martha House, Mt Martha VIC 3934 Australia
ABOUT
THE WORKSHOP PERFORMANCE VENUE:
Mt Martha House was the perfect venue for the play, due to it's
association with the military during and beyond WWII. The venue
was appropriated by the military in 1940, and served as a barracks
for the RAAF and an R&R venue for American Servicemen until
1945. The military purchased the building in 1950 and during
it's last years of service to the Australian military, it served
as a WRAAC barracks (Women's Royal Australian Army Corps.). Mt
Martha House was featured in an episode of the ABCTV program
"Can We Help" where two women who had served as WRAACs
were reunited on the show. Click here to see details of the program.
